New Unemployment Insurance Program in Mexico City

The Active Unemployment Insurance program of Mexico City will begin its registration period on Wednesday, November 13, offering financial support to those who are unemployed. This program provides assistance of 6,500 pesos with community service for two months, and 3,153.53 pesos without additional commitments for three months.

Eligible individuals must reside in Mexico City, be between 18 and 64 years old, have worked for at least six months between 2022 and 2024, and have lost their job for reasons beyond their control since January 1, 2022. Participation in community service activities is required, and the CDMX Key is needed for registration on the platform.

Additional requirements include having a valid official identification, recent proof of address, and presenting a sworn statement confirming that they are not beneficiaries of other government programs with amounts equal to or exceeding those offered by the Unemployment Insurance. It is important to note that interested parties must not have received support from this program between 2023 and 2024 or from the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion.

Once registration is complete, beneficiaries must go to the Unemployment Insurance offices at Calzada San Antonio Abad 32, Colonia Tránsito, Cuauhtémoc municipality. It is essential to meet the established requirements and procedures to access this financial benefit.
